I thought the fish was an odd choice for the Siam lettuce cups, but the jicama and groundnut would have been overwhelmed by the texture of chicken or pork. The lettuce was beautiful and the flavors were delicate. I really wanted to love this but have to rate it 7/10.
The Chicken Manada special was an interesting lemongrass and lemon coconut milk curry. Not as spicy as advertised and the texture of some of the chicken pieces was odd. Again I wanted to love it but it was 8/10 at best.
I expected 10/10 here at this landmark Thai restaurant. Beautiful interior and some business and/or family friendly private rooms at the back. Fun window seating from which to people watch. I would try it again, surely most of the menu is wonderful, just felt like I struck out on the two I chose.
Beware, valet parking is $18 for 3hrs.
