Borders on
Pretty happy with the contrast of the dark borders with the quilt top.
I’ve been admiring the quilt blocks tonight and the design key I think is the diamond shape made up of 16 postage stamps. If it’s made if a strong fabric then it really identifies the block:
and then in between those blocks, at the “4 corners” where the blocks meet, is a happy meeting place for a wild gamut of 4 colorways to come together:
If I had noticed this I would’ve laid out the fabrics differently in my corner blocks. For example I would’ve used the light blue plaid fabric in the 8-piece diamond instead of the paisley:
Next is the pinning of the layers. Time to unroll the batting so it can relax.
