Meze (San Diego Gaslamp District)

Think Greek food, Cohn restaurant style. Beautiful presentation, delicious food, street side dining.

Spicy Feta, Cilantro Hummus; Greek Sangria
Mixed plate

Very enjoyable quiet lunch on the sidewalk patio in a less raucous part of the Gaslamp. The mixed kabob plate with lamb, beef, chicken, and shrimp was well enough for two. The Sangria wasn’t bad (hint of brandy) but we like Costco’s big liter bottle of Sangria much better.

Next time we’ll park in the garage south of the Marriott across the street. Afterwards we ubered over to Seaport Village for a stroll. (More adventurous folks could walk.) It’s a shame they’re razing the area for an aquarium and a condo. Folks just want somewhere to stroll about with their families. Unfortunately that conflicts with making money…so enjoy it before it’s gone.

$6/bottle. Costco, we love you
