Now on to Palm Springs. Two of our favorite mom and pop restaurants in the desert. Salsas’ platters are amazing, go look at the photos on Google Maps. Beware of the Shrimp Diablo, it is unbelievably hot, when the waitress asks “are you sure?” that is the time to say no. Mario’s is a humble but satisfying Italian. Great family-run feel at both places, menus are full of family recipes.
