Lou & Mickey’s (San Diego Gaslamp)
Lou & Mickey’s is one of my favorite Gaslamp restaurants, with a recently expanded patio. (This would be a great place to watch the end of day parade of ComiCon cosplayers from the Convention Center up 5th Avenue.)
A small Crab Louie, a glass of pinot, and sourdough bread. On a glorious San Diego afternoon. Happy birthday to me!
Go here if:
You like eating outdoors, in a huge extended bar/patio
Price is no object – because the waiters know how to up sell you
You love sourdough bread
Don’t go here if:
You get chilly easily – there’s an abundance of shade on the patio (which I think is a good thing)
You need more than old school menu of Old Fashioned’s, crab bisque, shellfish, and steaks (albeit very well executed)
