Ms S was diagnosed with scoliosis and wore a body brace for 14 long months thru out 8th grade. The brace was bulky, annoying, and very hot during the summertime. Then last summer, at a routine appointment where we expected them to request another year of wearing the brace, we found out that she had stopped growing and therefore could stop wearing the brace. This was sudden, surprising, and very exciting! Not only that, she would not have to wear the brace during high school!
As a reward for diligently following the doctor’s orders, we got her tickets for Hamilton which she has been crazy about ever since it came out. And we just saw it in San Diego and thoroughly enjoyed it.
